Itinerary
You will be picked up from Alexandria by your expert licensed tour guide, Heading underground explore the ancient Kom al-Shoqafa catacombs. The vast network of staircases, passages and tombs are thought to form the largest Roman burial site in Egypt and was only unearthed at the beginning of the 20th century when a donkey disappeared under the ground. The next stop is at Pompey’s Pillar, a monolithic red granite column standing 28 metres tall, before driving to the modern Library of Alexandria, the biggest library in the world now with 8 million books. Drive along the Corniche to see the whole city passing over the bridge of Stanly landmark of modern Alexandria. then back to your hotel.
