From Beach to History – Cairo Day Excursion from Sharm El Sheikh

Start your day with a transfer from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo to explore some of Egypt’s most iconic and historical landmarks. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our company representative, who will assist and accompany you throughout the day.

Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx
Begin your tour with a visit to the world-famous Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—monuments of ancient Egypt’s Old Kingdom and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Learn about the evolution of royal tomb construction and stand in awe before the Great Sphinx, the legendary guardian of the pyramids with a lion’s body and a human head.

Lunch
Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.

The Egyptian Museum
Next, head to the Egyptian Museum, home to an unparalleled collection of artifacts spanning Egypt’s ancient, Greco-Roman, Coptic, and Islamic periods. Highlights include statues, mummies, and treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun.

Islamic Cairo – Al-Muizz Street & Khan El Khalili Bazaar
In the afternoon, explore Islamic Cairo, beginning with a walk along Al-Muizz Street, where you’ll admire some of the most exquisite examples of Islamic architecture in Egypt from the Fatimid, Ayyubid, and Mamluk eras. End your day with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest and most famous markets in the Middle East, where you can shop for souvenirs, spices, and local crafts.

Return Transfer
After a full day of sightseeing, you will be transferred back to Sharm El Sheikh for an overnight stay at your hotel.
