From Sharm El Sheikh To Petra – Jordan

We are pleased to offer you a full-day guided excursion to the historical city of Petra, one of the world’s most renowned archaeological sites.

Your journey will begin late at night with a pickup from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. You will be transferred to the Taba border crossing, where you will receive full assistance with the border procedures.

Upon entering Jordan, you will continue to the port of Aqaba to board a ferry that will take you directly to Petra, also known as the “Rose City” due to the color of the stone from which it is carved.

Upon arrival in Petra, you will begin your guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city, built by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago, is famous for its rock-cut architecture and historical significance.

The tour will begin with a walk or optional camel ride through the Siq, a narrow gorge that serves as the main entrance to Petra. As you proceed through the Siq, you will observe stunning rock formations and ancient carvings.

At the end of the Siq, you will reach the iconic Al Khazneh (The Treasury), Petra’s most photographed monument. The tour will then continue to other major landmarks within the site, including the Roman Theatre, the Royal Tombs, the Colonnaded Street, and Qasr al-Bint.

Following your exploration, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, you will return to Aqaba to board the ferry back to Taba. Upon arrival, a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, with an expected return time around midnight.
