Itinerary
- Enjoy an unforgettable trip to Abu Simbel ! An Egypt Travel representative will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and we will depart for the tour to Abu Simbel with a small group of visitors in a modern air-conditioned bus. The two temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered a masterpiece of Ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and splendor of the New Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO cooperated to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods, Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Ra and Ramses II himself. The great temple of Abu Simbel is also known as the “Sun Temple of Ramses II”, while the temple of Queen Nefertari is also called the “Temple of Hathor”, who was the wife of the sun-god. Therefore symbolically the figures of Ramses and Nefertari are associated with the two deities, the sun-god and Hathor. At the end of the visit, you will be taken back to Aswan to your hotel.
